It was a pleasure to spend time with the Ngee Ann Polytechnic students on the weekend, and a big congratulations to Ivan and the rest of the Student Society who organised an intensive and full schedule so well, including the games and activities, logistics career question session with members of The Logistics & Supply Chain Management Society, and the field trip to the Fishing Port to see some night logistics activities in action. Really great effort guys, and hope you all had fun.

The LSCMS Discussion Group, hosted through Google Groups, has been kicked off and has already begun with some interesting topics.

These have included:

• Optimisation
• Reverse Logistics
• Retail Logistics KPIs
• Contingency Planning in the Supply Chain
• Logistics Software

- and that has been only in the past week! We hope that Logistics Professionals globally will look to this resource as a way of communicating with peers, and we see that this is a great way to discuss and communicate issues, share readings and interesting information that we find, develop an understanding of concepts and to enable us to build a global network of professionals that are interested in contributing to a knowledge resource.
